Head Up Display Module: Removal

  1. Remove windshield garnish molding. Being careful not to allow retainers to fall into instrument panel.
  2. Remove instrument panel upper trim pad.
  3. Lift instrument panel upper trim panel approximately 2 inches and pull rearward to release retainers.
  4. Remove daytime running light ambient light sensor.
  5. If equipped, remove sun load sensor.
  6. Remove instrument panel upper trim panel.
  7. Disconnect harness connectors.
  8. Remove bolts that secure the Heads Up Display (HUD) module to instrument panel. See Figure.
