Inflatable Restraint Sensing And Diagnostic Module: Installation

1. Install SDM (2) to vehicle.
2. Install SDM mounting fasteners (1). Tighten fasteners to 89 inch lbs. (10 N.m). See Fig 2.
3. Install SDM wiring harness connector (2) to SDM (1). See Fig 1.
4. Install connector position assurance (3) to SDM wiring harness connector (2).
5. Place carpet to cover SDM. Install carpet retainer.
6. Install right side insulator panel.
7. Install right side cowl trim panel.
8. Install passenger front seat.
9. Enable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
