Programming Remote Keyless Entry Transmitters

  1. Close vehicle doors.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  3. Remove ignition key from lock cylinder.
  4. Press and hold driver's side door lock switch to unlock position.
  5. Insert ignition key into lock cylinder and remove key. (Do not turn ignition key in lock cylinder.)
  6. Insert ignition key into lock cylinder and remove key. (Do not turn ignition key in lock cylinder.)
  7. Insert ignition key into lock cylinder. (Do not turn ignition key in lock cylinder.) Leave the key in lock cylinder.
  8. Release door lock switch. Body Control Module (BCM) will sound three beeps in order to verify PROGRAM MODE has been activated.
  9. Press lock and unlock buttons on keyless entry transmitter simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds. BCM will sound two beeps in order to verify transmitter has been successfully programmed.
  10. Perform previous step to program up to four transmitters.
  11. Remove ignition key from lock cylinder in order to exit PROGRAM MODE.
  12. Verify proper operation of each transmitter.
