Diagnostic Aids

Check for poor terminal connection. Check harness connectors for backed-out terminals, improper mating, broken locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals, and faulty terminal to wire connection. Use a corresponding mating terminal to check proper tension. Check wiring harness for damage. If harness inspection does not reveal a problem, observe display on scan tool while moving connectors and wiring harnesses related to sensor. A change in scan tool display may indicate location of fault. Check PCM and engine grounds for clean and secure connections.
