Input Devices: Notes

Each sensor or switch furnishes or modifies electronic voltage signals to PCM. The PCM uses these input signals to control fuel flow, injector timing, cruise control, transmission shifting, EGR, TCC, cold advance and glow plug systems. Various models are equipped with different combinations of input devices. Not all devices are used on all models. To determine the input usage on a specific model, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
