Electronic Brake Control Module: Installation

  1. Install EBCM (1) to BPMV (5). Tighten top four mounting screws (2) to 26 INCH lbs. (2.9 N.m). Tighten screws in an X pattern. Tighten bottom two mounting screws (2) to 26 INCH lbs. (2.9 N.m). See Fig 2.
  2. Connect pump motor connector (3) to bottom of EBCM.
  3. Connect EBCM harness connector. Push in lock tab (1). See Fig 1.
  4. Install air cleaner assembly.
  5. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  6. Perform ABS diagnostic system check. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
