DTC B3103: Keyless Entry Data Link Circuit High: Testing
- If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check was not performed, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) module 6-pin harness connector. RCLDR is located at center of instrument panel, under trim panel near defroster vent. Using test light connected to ground, probe Body Control Module (BCM) harness connector C1 terminal A10 (Light Green wire). See Figure. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4.
- Check for short to voltage in Light Green wire between BCM harness connector C1 terminal A10 and Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 2. See DATA LINK CONNECTOR article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 8. If no problem is found, go to step 5.
- Check for poor, loose or corroded terminals in RCDLR module harness connector. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 8. If no problem is found, go to step 6.
- Check for poor, loose or corroded terminals in BCM harness connectors. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 8. If no problem is found, go to step 7.
- Replace RCDLR module. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs are made, go to step 8.
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs are made, go to next step.
- Connect scan tool to DLC. DLC is located under left side of instrument panel. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle within code enable criteria. If DTC does not reset, system is okay. If DTC resets, go to step 2.
