Radio Setup: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2002 Chevrolet Impala, 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and 2001 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, select DIAGNOSTICS in MAIN MENU screen. Select MODEL YEAR and PASSENGER CAR in VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION screen. Select BODY in SYSTEM SELECTION MENU screen.
  2. Select W (for platform type), No. 1 (for Chevrolet) and appropriate vehicle in VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION screen. Select RADIO in BODY screen. Select RADIO SETUP in SPECIAL FUNCTION screen. Select appropriate radio (select up-level radio if vehicle is equipped with anything other than a base AM/FM radio). RADIO SETUP option does not contain sub-menu. RADIO SETUP will configure following systems:
    • Steering Wheel Controls
    • Learn VIN
    • DTCs
    • Class 2 Radio Messages
    • Country Code
    • Chime Volume
    • Chime Level
    • 12/24 Hour Clock
