30-Minute Learn Procedure

NOTE: Ensure the latest Techline® Service Programming System (SPS) software is used.
  1. Using PassKey III® master key, turn ignition on, with engine off.
  2. Observe SECURITY indicator light for about 10 minutes. Indicator light should turn off.
  3. Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds.
  4. Repeat steps  1 -  4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes.
    5. NOTE: Vehicle learns key transponder information and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK position. Ignition must be turned off before attempting to start vehicle.
  5. Using PassKey III® master key, start vehicle. Vehicle has now learned the key transponder information and PCM has now learned the fuel continue password.
  6. Using scan tool, clear any DTCs.
