Automatic Transmission

  1. Turn ignition off. Ensure PCM connectors are secure. Turn A/C off. Set parking brake and block drive wheels. Start engine and run until engine coolant temperature is more than 80°C (176°F).
  2. Shift transmission to Drive and let engine idle for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, shift transmission to Park. Allow engine to idle for 5 additional minutes. Turn engine off for minimum of 30 seconds. Idle learn procedure is complete.
