Functional Operation

  1. Place the transmission in Park. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position (2). See Figure . Gearshift lever should not be able to be moved to another position. The ignition key should be able to be removed from the ignition.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Place the transmission in Neutral. The ignition key should not be able to be removed from the ignition. If the above functional checks were met, the adjustment is complete.
  3. If the ignition key can be removed with transmission in Neutral, snap connector lock button (1) to the UP position and repeat step  4 of the installation procedure.
  4. If the ignition key cannot be removed with transmission in Park, snap the connector lock button (1) to the UP position. Move the cable connector nose rearward until the ignition key can be removed from the ignition. Snap the lock button (1) down. See Fig 5 .
