Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
  2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
  3. Install the radio to the instrument panel (IP).

    Important:  If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the IP locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  4. Align the radio control locator tab to the IP locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the IP until fully seated.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the radio screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the radio screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
