Installation Procedure

  1. Position and support the catalytic converter under the vehicle.
  2. Install a new catalytic converter gasket.
  3. Install the catalytic converter bolts. Do not tighten the bolts.

  4. Install a new catalytic converter seal.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the catalytic converter nuts.

    Tighten 

    1. 5.1. Tighten the nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
    2. 5.2. Tighten the bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
  6. Install the oxygen sensor. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
