Description & Operation

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system consists of a remote transmitter and Body Control Module (BCM). Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter once and release to unlock driver's door, illuminate interior lighting and disarms Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) system (if equipped). Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter a second time (within 1-5 seconds of first depression) to unlock remaining front door. Press LOCK to lock doors, deactivate illuminated entry and arm CTD system. To release rear compartment lid, press bottom button marked with vehicle symbol on top cover. Vehicles equipped with automatic transmission must be in Park or ignition in OFF position. Vehicles equipped with manual transmission, parking brake must be set and ignition switch in ON position. Press PANIC button marked with horn symbol to activate emergency panic mode. This will activate horn and parking lights intermittently until PANIC button is pressed again. RKE system is intended to be used as supplemental vehicle entry system. RKE system may become disabled due to radio frequency interference, low battery power level or remote transmitter and BCM not synchronized.
