Test A: Panic Mode Inoperative
- If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform diagnostic system check before proceeding. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Using remote transmitter, press PANIC button. If both horn and parking lights do not pulse on and off, go to next step. If both horn and parking lights pulse on and off, inspect for intermittents. See TROUBLE SHOOTING .
- If any PANIC functions operate properly, go to next step. If all PANIC functions do not operate properly, perform TEST B: KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM INOPERATIVE .
- If horns pulse on and off, repair parking lights as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article. If horns do not pulse on and off, repair horns as necessary. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
