Retained Accessory Power System Diagnostic System Check
- Retrieve and display DTCs by entering Body Control Module (BCM) self-diagnostic mode by using SECURITY indicator. See RETRIEVING BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If diagnostic mode is entered and DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If diagnostic mode cannot be entered, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
- If DTCs 12 and 55 are retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs 12 and 55 are not retrieved, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
- If DTC 23 or 33 is not retrieved, go to next step. If DTC 23 or 33 is retrieved, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
- If any other DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article. If no other DTCs are retrieved, repair power windows or convertible top as necessary. For power windows, see SYMPTOM INDEX under SYSTEM TESTS.
