Powertrain Control Module: Removal

  1. PCM is located inside air filter assembly. See Figure . Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the engine coolant heater harness from the front fender diagonal brace, if equipped.
  2. Reposition the engine coolant reservoir from the front fender diagonal brace. See Figure . Reposition the cruise control module from the front fender diagonal brace. Remove the front fender diagonal brace to the inner fender bolt.
  3. Remove the front fender diagonal brace to radiator support bolts. Remove the front fender diagonal brace. Remove the air cleaner assembly cover and lift the PCM from the assembly. Disconnect the harness connectors from the PCM. Remove the PCM from the engine compartment.
