Installation Procedure

  1. Install the pulley to the power steering pump using the J 25033-C  . Ensure that the face of the pulley is flush with the pump drive shaft.
  2. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (2.2L (LN2))  or POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT (2.2L (L61) & 2.4L (LD9))  .
  3. Install the drive belt on the power steering pump. Refer to the following procedures DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT - 2.2L (LN2) or DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT - 2.2L (L61) or DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT - 2.4L (LD9) .
  5. Fill the power steering pump with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid . Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
