Scan Tool

Scan tool is preferable way to clear DTC information. Freeze frame and failure record data will also be cleared. PCM adaptive learning and system monitors will only be cleared for those system which had a stored DTC. To clear DTCs, use the scan tools CLEAR DTC Information function. Follow the instructions supplied by the scan tool manufacturer.
