Conditions For Clearing MIL/DTC
- A scan tool can clear DTC.
- PCM clears DTC from PCM history if vehicle completes 40 warm-up cycles without a non-emission related diagnostic fault occurring.
- PCM cancels DTC default actions when fault no longer exists and DTC passes.
