Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the PCM electrical connectors.

    Tighten:  Tighten the PCM electrical connector screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  2. Install the PCM into the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Install the air cleaner assembly cover.
  4. Tighten the air cleaner assembly cover retainers.
  5. Install the left sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal - Left in Body Front End.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1)Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
  7. If a new PCM is being installed, program the EEPROM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming.
