Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If installation of the mounting bracket is required, install the mounting bracket to the overhead console.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the 2 OnStar® microphone retaining screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 0.8 N.m (7 lb in).
Install the microphone to the mounting bracket ensuring the quick release tab (1) is fully seated.

Connect the electrical connector to the OnStar® microphone (1).
Install the overhead console. Refer to Console Replacement - Overhead (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) or Console Replacement - Overhead (Envoy XUV) in Interior Trim.
