Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the power steering gear heat shield. Refer to Power Steering Gear Heat Shield Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the cooler pipe low pressure line from the power steering gear.

  6. Disconnect the low pressure hose from the cooler pipe.
  7. Disconnect the wiring harness from the cooler bracket studs.
  8. Remove the cooler pipe bracket retaining studs and screws.
  9. Remove the cooler pipe.
