Installation Procedure

  1. Position the muffler assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Support the muffler assembly with a jackstand.

  4. Install four rubber hangers (2), to the right and left muffler support hangers and four retainer clips (1).

  6. Install a new catalytic converter to muffler flange gasket (2).
  7. Install the catalytic converter to muffler flange bolts (1).
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

    Tighten:  Tighten the catalytic converter to muffler flange bolts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  9. Position the rear pipe assembly.
  10. Slide both of the rear pipes (2) into the muffler pipe slip joints.
  11. Install two ring clamp fastening nuts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the ring clamp nuts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  13. Install two rubber hangers (2), to the support hangers and two support hanger retainer clips (1).
  14. Lower the vehicle.
