Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the power steering fluid reservoir (1) onto the bracket (10). Verify the tab on the bracket retains the reservoir.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the reservoir inlet hose (6) to the reservoir. Install the hose clamp (5).
  3. Install the reservoir outlet hose (4) to the reservoir. Install the hose clamp (3).
    4. NOTE: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Fill the reservoir. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
    5. NOTE: Refer to Air in the Power Steering System Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
  6. Remove the drain pan.
