Installation Procedure

  1. If removed, install the clamps to the air cleaner intake duct.
    2. Fig 1: View Of Air Cleaner Intake Duct

  2. Install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner intake duct.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the air cleaner intake duct to the throttle body and the air cleaner cover.

    Tighten:  Tighten the duct clamps to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  4. Connect the PCV tube.
  5. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector (2).
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
