Removal Procedure
- Remove the outlet splash shield from the air cleaner.
- Remove the left headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement (Pontiac)
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the upper push-in retainer (1) from the front air cleaner intake duct.

- Remove the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the left front wheel house panel. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the lower push-in retainer (4) from the front air cleaner intake duct.
- Remove the front air cleaner intake duct (3) through the headlamp assembly opening.
- Remove the resonator rear push-in retainer and the upper attaching bolt (5).
- Remove the resonator assembly through the wheel house opening.
