Removal Procedure

Remove the upper air cleaner and duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls-2.2L (L61).
If applicable, remove the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement in Engine Controls 2.2L (L61).
Remove the power steering hoses from the power steering pump. Refer to the following procedures:
- Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (2.2L (L61))
- Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (2.2L (L61))
Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts (2).

Remove the power steering pump (1) from the engine.
