Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  3. Remove the instrument panel trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  4. Remove the front floor trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Front Floor Console in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Remove the front floor console cover. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  6. Disconnect the park lock cable from the shift lock lever.

  7. Disconnect the park lock cable from the shift lever plate.

  8. Disconnect the cable clamp.

  9. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC or Run position.
  10. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable from the upper bracket.
  11. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
