Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Transaxle Brace Bolts

  1. Position the transaxle brace to transaxle and engine.
  2. Hand start the bolts to the engine.
  3. Hand start the bolts to the transaxle.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the brace bolts to the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the brace bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  5. Install the brace bolts to the transaxle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the brace bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  6. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
  7. Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
