Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Saturn L300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Throttle Body Relearn Procedure

  1. Install the throttle body and new gasket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the throttle body nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the throttle body nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  4. Attach the vacuum lines, the EVAP hose, and the coolant lines to the throttle body.

  6. Install the EGR pipe bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the EGR pipe bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the intake plenum bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the intake plenum bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  9. Connect the intake plenum-to-runner universal clamp pliers using the J 43914  . If the clamps are damaged, replace with service screw type clamps.
  10. Connect the throttle body electrical connector.

  12. Install the air cleaner inlet hose.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  14. Verify the coolant level and add coolant if necessary.
