Removal Procedure
- Move the intake air duct away from the pump. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the engine accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory .
- Place a drain pan below the vehicle and remove the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .
- Remove the power steering gear inlet pipe and the flare nut from the pump.
- Remove and discard the O-ring from the high pressure port on the pump.
- Loosen the hose clamp on the reservoir outlet hose.
- Remove the reservoir outlet hose from the pump.
- Remove the 2 bolts (5,6) from the pump (1).
- Remove the pump from the mounting bracket (2).
