Installation Procedure

  1. Install the boost control solenoid (4).
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the boost control solenoid nut (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the boost control solenoid electrical connector.
  4. Connect the boost source signal hose (3) to the boost control solenoid (4).
  5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
