Installation Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in Cautions and Notices.
CAUTION: Refer to Fuel Gage Leak Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) .
  2. Remove the fuel rail pressure fitting cap.
  3. Connect the J 34730-1A  to the fuel pressure valve. See Special Tools . Wrap a shop towel around the fitting while connecting the gage in order to avoid any leakage.
  4. Place the bleed hose of the fuel pressure gage into an approved gasoline container.
