Installation Procedure

  1. Install the new gasket.
  2. Install the throttle body assembly (1).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the throttle body bolts (2) and the nuts (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts and the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the throttle body electrical connector.
  5. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26 and L32) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS4) in Engine Cooling.
