Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Power Steering Pressure Pipe Bracket

  1. Position the power steering pressure pipe (4) to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Connect the power steering pressure pipe (4) to the power steering pump (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  3. Install the bolt (2) to the power steering pressure pipe bracket (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).

  4. Connect the power steering pressure hose (3) to the power steering pressure pipe (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
