Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.
  1. Remove the door opening weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Door Opening in Doors.
  2. Remove side sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the lower quarter panel trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the center pillar outer applique. Refer to Applique Replacement - Center Pillar Outer in Exterior Trim.
  7. Remove the roof drip molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side Roof Drip in Exterior Trim.

    IMPORTANT: It is necessary to use new nuts when reinstalling the quarter window.
  9. Remove the nine quarter window nuts (1), securing the quarter window assembly (2) to the body opening.
  10. CAUTION: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: When removing the quarter window from the body opening make sure that the attaching pins are clear of the outer body.
  11. Remove the quarter window (2) from the body opening.
