Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Muffler Assembly

  1. With the aid of an assistant, position the muffler assembly.
  2. Install the muffler insulators onto the hangers.
    3. Fig 2: Catalytic Converter To Muffler Nut

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the catalytic converter to muffler nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the HO2S (2). Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Position 1 .
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  6. Connect the HO2S electrical connector (3).
  7. Install the CPA retainer.
