2	IMPORTANT: Inspect that the keyless entry transmitter is the correct model for the vehicle remote system. A wrong model transmitter will not activate the vehicle remote system. 3	Lock and unlock the door locks using the controls inside the vehicle. Do the locks operate properly?	Go to Step 4	Go to Power Door Locks Inoperative - All Doors and Switches
4	Reprogram the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming . Press each button of the transmitter one at a time. Does the system operate normally?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 5
5	Install a scan tool. Select body control module (BCM), Data Display, Door Locks, and monitor the remote lock, unlock, and panic command parameters. Press each button of the transmitter one at a time. Does the appropriate scan tool parameter indicate Yes after each button is pressed?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 6
6	IMPORTANT: The transmitter programming procedure must be performed whenever a transmitter is replaced. Refer to Transmitter Programming . Replace the transmitter. Press each button of the transmitter one at a time. Does the system operate normally?	Go to Step 8	Go to Step 7
7	IMPORTANT: When replacing the BCM, perform the BCM programming procedure. Also program all transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming . Replace the BCM. Refer to Control Module References .Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 8	-
8	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition?	System OK	Go to Step 3
