Rear Object Sensor Replacement

Preliminary Procedures: 
Remove rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
1 Rear Object Sensor
Tip: 
  • Do not refinish previously painted sensors.
  • Press tab to release the sensor from the retainer.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • Paint the new rear object sensor. Refer to Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems .
  • Using a paint thickness gage suitable for non-ferrous metals, ensure paint thickness does not exceed 6 mils. Refer to Paint Gages .
