Power Steering Cooler Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector - side. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector - upper. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
1 Power Steering Gear Hose Clamp
Tip:  Position the clamp aside.
2 Power Steering Gear Hose
Tip:  Disconnect the power steering gear hose from the cooler.
3 Power Steering Cooler to Reservoir Hose Clamp
Tip:  Position the clamp aside.
4 Power Steering Cooler to Reservoir Hose
Tip:  Disconnect the hose from the reservoir.
5 Power Steering Cooler Mounting Bolt (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

6 Power Steering Cooler
Tip:  Remove the cooler from the bottom of the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
