Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the steering column filler panel. Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.




3. Remove the accelerator pedal bolts.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal with sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the accelerator pedal with sensor.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the accelerator pedal bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Connect the I/P wiring harness electrical connector to the APP sensor.
4. Install the steering column filler panel. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement (Service and Repair).
