Removal Procedure

    WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .
  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Cam Lock Ring

  2. Using the J-45722:  wrench, remove the cam lock ring (1) by turning counterclockwise.

  3. Partially raise the fuel pump module and disconnect the plastic connectors (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  5. Remove the fuel pump flange (1) and O-ring (2).

  6. Disconnect the fuel pump plastic connector (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.

  8. Turn the fuel pump counter-clockwise so the locking tab (1) aligns with the opening (2).

  9. Remove the fuel pump (1).
