EZF Ignition System Output Tests: Distributor

  1. Ensure distributor is installed properly and inspect for damage. Remove distributor rotor and check rotor suppression resistor using an ohmmeter. Reading must be 1000 ohms. Each terminal on distributor cap must also read 1000 ohms.
  2. If ignition trigger box is being replaced, coat base plate with Heat Conducting Paste (5 942 860 003 ) before installing new unit. DO NOT apply paste with hand. Use a wooden stick or similar object. Keep heat conducting paste off painted parts.
