NTC Temperature Sensor II

The temperature sensor II is installed in a coolant circuit (the water bridge between cylinders 1 and 5) and performs 2 operations. Two equal NTC resistors are installed in the sensor housing. One of the resistors is connected with the ignition control unit and one with the LH control unit.

Thermo-resistor belonging to the LH control unit regulates the engine's warming up. The sensor signal is processed in the LH control unit and extends the injection time when the engine is cold. This creates a richer fuel/air mixture.
