LH Temperature Sensor II

  1. Connect ohmmeter on terminal 2 and ground of disconnected LH unit plug. Readings should be the same as in TEST 5. If values are not reached, repeat test directly on sensor. DO NOT connect ohmmeter across both contact lugs. Check each plug individually against ground (2 independent temperature sensors).
NOTE: Temperature sensor II provides the LH control unit with information on the engine temperature. It provides a richer mixture for cold starting and warming up.
  2. If there's an open circuit with a reading of infinite ohms, engine will have an excessively rich mixture. Engine will stop and cannot be started again. If circuit is grounded out with a zero ohm reading, engine will be too lean. There will be no change when engine is at operating temperature.
