NTC Temperature Sensor II

The temperature sensor II is installed in a coolant circuit (the water bridge between cylinders No. 1 and 5) and performs 2 operations. There are 2 NTC resistors installed in the sensor housing. One of the resistors is connected with the ignition control unit and one with the LH fuel control unit.

Thermo-resistor belonging to the LH fuel control unit regulates the engine's warming up. The sensor signal is processed in the LH fuel control unit and extends the injection time when the engine is cold. This creates a richer fuel/air mixture.
