Test 7 - Throttle Switch (Idle Contact)
- Pull off both EZF and LH fuel control unit plugs. Connect ohmmeter to terminal No. 4 of disconnected EZF ignition control unit plug. With throttle closed, reading should be from zero ohms to a maximum of 10 ohms. With throttle opened, reading should be infinity. Idle contact must open immediately.
- Opening the idle contact should advance ignition timing by approximately 10°. If not, check for open circuit or defective idle switch.
