Checking Activation of Control Unit
- With engine at idle speed, pull off plug on idle switch. Engine speed must increase considerably. Engine speed should increase 500 RPM. Ignition timing advance should be 12 degrees BTDC.
- If nothing happens, check wire between idle switch plug and control unit plug for breaks according to wiring diagram. If necessary, replace control unit.
