Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

Digital Motor Electronics (DME) control unit can store fault codes related to fuel injection, ignition, and (engine) knock regulating systems. Detected faults are stored for at least 50 engine starts. If positive battery cable or DME control unit is disconnected, fault code memory and system adaptation will be cleared.
